Who we serve

We work with ambitious mid-sized companies, many of them Swiss or European, that export internationally or are expanding into new markets. Most are in regulated or geopolitically sensitive sectors: agrifood, health, technology, chemicals, energy, environment and sustainability.

These companies are large enough to be exposed to trade measures, regulatory shifts, and political scrutiny. Few of them have the in-house geopolitical and government affairs teams that multinationals use to see these coming.

The problem we solve

A tariff raised in a trade dispute you have no part in wipes out your price advantage in a key export market overnight. A market entry slips by a year because a registration or approval took longer than planned. A regulation drafted in Brussels or at a multilateral forum changes the economics of a whole portfolio, and the company learns about it when it is already final.

For mid-sized companies, the cost lands in lost revenue, eroded margins, delayed expansion and capital committed to plans that no longer hold.

What we do

We help leadership teams anticipate geopolitical and regulatory change, and shape it where they can rather than only react to it. Clients typically come to us with questions like:

Founder

Gabriela Wurcel is the Founder and Managing Partner of GloWal Strategic Advisory, based in Geneva. She has more than two decades of experience in trade diplomacy, EU regulatory strategy, government relations and multilateral engagement. She has held senior government and external affairs roles at multinational companies, and has been directly involved in complex negotiations with business impact.

She has represented business at the WTO, the UN and its agencies including FAO, the OECD and the climate COPs. She has built government relations functions from scratch, negotiated market access and investment agreements with governments, and led organisations through crises on several continents. She also founded The Business Diplomat, a thought leadership platform on geopolitics and business. She serves on the board of the USCIB Foundation, is a member of The Boardroom (Switzerland), and works in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
